“Just Start!” has been a reoccurring theme in my life lately. And just like with others, getting started has not necessarily been an issue for me; it’s the consistency that challenges my progress. As you can see, I published my very first post months ago, now here I am again, several months later. But guess what, I’m back nevertheless!
In my efforts to establish consistency, I needed to set priorities and reevaluate what stays and what goes. Trying to juggle everything at once meant making marginal progress in every area. Putting first things first has allowed me to complete the writing, editing, and publishing of my 2nd book; my memoir “All for My Good;” and yes, for the most part, this was a one-woman-band!
By funneling the majority of my focus into completing my book project and now finding space to exhale, I am amazed in how vision for my next steps continue to unfold; I’m excited and a bit nervous at the same time. For now, I find some comfort in the words by Liberian president Ellen Johnson, “If your dreams do not scare you, they are not big enough.
It has taken some living and life experiences to get to this point, but I’m now at a place in my life where I believe bigger and dare to pursue my dreams without relent. This is a new place for me, a place where I move from “I hope so.” to “Whatsoever a man thinketh…” Proverbe 23:7. It’s quite astonishing what I’ve found to be true as a result of operating as though failure is not an option. You find yourself placing more thought in energy in prayer and critical thinking rather than hesitating and giving room for doubt and fear.
If you haven’t already, check out the BookTube Channel that I recently started. I have a video scheduled to release that discusses the book by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, “The Power of Positive Thinking.” This is a powerful book and happened to be one of my go-to sources when I secured a role in a career in which I’ve desired to work for quite sometime. And if you haven’t already, get your copy of my memoir, “All for My Good.” where I discuss the details of just one of my journeys from good to great!
Thanks for stopping by, and remember, no matter where you are, and no matter where you’ve been, your best days are still ahead!
